# Agent Skills
Source: https://docs.greetmate.ai/bot-skills
Give your agent skills to execute tasks and answer questions.
## Where to find the skill settings?
1. Log in to Greetmate
2. Go to [your agent skills](https://www.greetmate.ai/bot/skills)
## How skills work
Skills are always available to your agent, and they can be used to execute tasks or answer questions. You can add skills to your agent to make it more useful and engaging.
Skills can also be executed during workflows.
## Create a skill
1. Click on the `Create skill` button
2. Choose a skill type
3. Give it a name
4. Provide an example phrase. This will trigger the skill when the agent hears this or a phrase with a similar intention.
5. Enter a response. This is what the agent will say when the skill is triggered.
### Skill types
Respond with a hard-coded phrase when the skill is triggered.
Connect the caller to a live agent.
Read information from a website in real time (e.g. real estate listings).
Take a message from the caller and send it to your email address.
Send a text message to a phone number.
Send a webhook to a URL.

## Agents
Each agent in Greetmate is a separate entity that can be configured to handle different types of calls. You can create multiple agents to handle different types of calls, such as sales, support, or billing.
### Phone numbers
Each agent will start off with an extension number during your free trial period. You can also assign a dedicated phone number to each agent once you've provided your payment information.
#### 1. Generic Number (Extension Number)
You can find your bot's extension number in the dashboard. This number is unique to your bot and can be used to make calls. Upon calling the generic number you'll have to enter the extension number to reach your bot.
#### 2. Dedicated Phone Number
Once you've provided your payment information, you can assign a dedicated phone number to your bot. This number can be used to make calls directly to your bot without having to enter an extension number.
To do so,
1. Go to the [Agent Overview](https://www.greetmate.ai/bot/settings)
2. Click on the agent you want to assign a dedicated number to
3. Click on the `Get a dedicated number` button
#### 3. Porting a phone number
If you have an existing phone number that you'd like to use with Greetmate, you can port it to our platform. To do so, reach out to our support team at [support@greetmate.ai](mailto:support@greetmate.ai)

### When to use a custom Twilio account
It is not mandatory to use a custom Twilio account. You can use Greetmate without a custom Twilio account if you don't do any texting and if you don't need to register a 10DLC number or use different country codes.
You can, for example, connect your own Twilio account if you have existing numbers, 10 DLC registrations or if you want to use your own Twilio account for compliance reasons. You can also use your own Twilio account if you want to use Greetmate in a country where we do not have a local Twilio account.
